Kayak Center Guíxols offers you the chance to enjoy kayaking and discover the wonderful surroundings of the Costa Brava. We offer several options, the most recommended of which is undoubtedly our kayak excursion. No previous experience using canoes is required for this kayak excursion. We have self-bailing Rotomod double and single kayaks, which are easy to handle and offer good stability, making them suitable for everyone without prior experience. In any case, before beginning the activity, you will receive an explanation on kayak handling and paddling techniques, and you will learn the basics so you can navigate the kayaks safely and securely. We have several kayaking options, and in all of them, you will discover the beauty of S’Agaró Bay and its seabed, as you will be able to observe the terrain, flora, and fauna at all times.
On the kayak + snorkel excursion option, we will make a short stop during the route to snorkel and observe the Mediterranean fauna. We will be able to observe various fish, as well as posidonia, sea urchins, and if we are lucky, starfish and the occasional octopus. We have two routes: one to the Sant Feliu de Guíxols area, where we will discover small coves or various caves such as the Bat Cave or the Owl Cave. The other one heads to the Platja d’Aro area, where we can discover Rincón de la Gaviota, the sunken ship, Punta d’en Pau, or Cala Pedrosa. If you already have previous kayaking experience, we recommend renting a kayak on your own. We have more technical touring kayaks, such as the Rotomod Tempo or the Rotomod Disco, ideal for exploring the entire Girona coastline at your own pace. With touring kayaks, you can cover greater distances with less effort thanks to their narrower, longer design, which offers less water resistance. Sea kayaking provides direct contact with the marine environment and the opportunity to discover the most spectacular and inaccessible corners of our coast. We also offer kayaking courses for both beginner and advanced levels.
Sign up and try sea kayaking. It’s the best way to see the coastline up close and discover firsthand all the beauty you can only see from the water! Don’t let anyone tell you about it and book your activity!
